From Darkness to Light: The Heart Behind the Brand
Welcome to thelightclothing.com. We aren’t just a brand; we are a family on a mission to reclaim the "billboard" of apparel for the Kingdom of God.
For over 20 years, I (Allyson) lived a life that many would call a "success story" in the fashion industry. As a graphic designer and artist, I spent decades creating apparel for some of the world’s biggest names—Disney, Kohl’s, Macy’s, and JC Penney—alongside licensed apparel for major movies, TV shows, and video games.
The Conviction
Despite the professional accolades, a heavy weight began to press on my heart. God started opening my eyes to a sobering reality: the industry I served was subtly, yet intentionally, pushing worldly agendas.
I realized that many of the designs I was asked to create promoted idolatry, sinful lusts, darkness, witchcraft, and even occult/satanic symbolism. The deepest conviction came when I looked at the children’s clothing I designed. Some of the most evil/demonic things were presented as cute and adorable. I saw how my God-given talents were being used to attract families to things that were far from a blessing. I had worldly success, but I was empty. I was using my art to lead people away from the Truth rather than toward it.
"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" – Mark 8:36
The Leap of Faith
I realized I could no longer stay silent or complicit. I chose to leave the "worldly success" behind, making a commitment to use my hands only for the glory of God. I moved out of the darkness of the industry and into the Light of Christ.
This transformation didn't stop with me. My husband, Izzy, and I decided that our musical talents belonged to the Lord as well. We traded the smoky stages of secular bars for the altar of the church. Today, Izzy serves as our church Worship Director, and we have the incredible blessing of serving in the worship band alongside our two children.

The Light Clothing is a family-run labor of love. Our designs are deeply influenced by our life of worship and the rhythm of our home:

Our Mission
Our mission is simple: To encourage you to be the light in a world that feels increasingly dark. We design apparel that points directly to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, ensuring that every garment is a tool for evangelism and a declaration of faith.
